These places may not have the best “diet” friendly foods but at each of them there are lower calorie options which will make sure you’re still progressing, especially if you're someone who eats out often, those extra calories will soon add up if you’re “treating yourself” every time you eat out. I’m not saying never eat a burger again because sometimes that’s just what you want!
Bella Italia have a lower calorie option, their low calorie pizza is lovely
Pizza Hut have flatbreads which are also sooo good
McDonalds grilled chicken wrap is about 300-350 calories which actually isn't bad they also have the calories and macro ratio all online
Nandos can be macro friendly, again all calories and macros are online so take a look, you'll be surprised how many calories are in the sweet potato fries and rice ;)
Subway 6 inch sub if you’re having lean meat and salad is actually pretty good calorie wise around 300 cals and their salads are pretty amaze too.
Chipotle if you are lucky enough to have one near you is one of my favs and I actually had this on prep last year the burrito bowls are great and you can pick what you want in them
Eating out doesn't have to be a stressful situation. Be mindful of what you're actually eating and think how you're getting protein in first of all, then get some vegetables in and choose your carbs. Check what’s in the food before, if you’re headed to a pub where calories etc aren't publicised then look for lean meat, veg, potatoes or something similar and no creamy sauces or anything deep fried. Most restaurants are really good if you ask them to modify anything on the menu. Any veg I’ll ask for unbuttered just steamed and all sauce on the side, you’re paying so ask for what you want.
Many restaurants now do have calories on their menu which can sometimes put you off the meal because you know how calorie heavy it is! Don't be afraid to ask for what you would like in a restaurant or to say no to dessert if it doesn't line up with your goals.
